We are located on the main road to Paraa just ouside Kichumbanyobo Gate, the main entrance to Murchison Falls National Park. You will pass us if you are entering the park from the town of Masindi.
As soon as you see the gate which has two white crossover horns, look for the UCOTA signpost on your left. It is just a few hundred yards from the gate. You can reach us using boda boda or special hire. Tell them to take you to Boomu Women's Group in Kigaragara village. We are only 35 minutes ride away from Masindi making us a convenient day trip.
We ask that you book in advance for any tours in order that we can be prepared to welcome you but we are happy for people to stop by for a drink and a visit of our grounds.

Facilities
We have a variety of bandas, singles, doubles, twins and one larger space for accommodating groups. Some bandas have lighting from solar power and in the event of power-outages, we provide lanterns. One banda has been left as a traditional mud banda. There is a campground and campfire. We have open air showers, composting toilets and hot water can be supplied in a jerry can on request. We are located in well maintained enclosed grounds. The site is filled with many trees including fruit trees, shrubs and flowers. We therefore have many butterflies and birds including our own colony of weavers which contain both Black Headed Weavers and Vieillot’s black weaver. We are surrounded by fields and overlooked by a hill. This makes our site a tranquil place to relax, away from the tourist trail.
We provide basic meals either in the traditional Ugandan style or alternatively meals of a more western style, both with meat and vegetarian. Drinks and sodas are also available. Drinks and sodas are also available.
Community Tour
Enjoy a scenic walk through our local village. You will see the different variety of crops that are grown and how they are processed. We will talk about the key issues that are affecting the area such as the problems resulting from an increasing population. We will show you things of local interest.
Cooking takes up a large amount of subsistence farmers’ time. We will first take you to our fields where you can help dig your dinner which we will then prepare. While we are waiting for dinner to cook we shall fetch firewood and cooking water. Dinner will be served the local way with the option of a fork!
